Terms of Service

Last updated: 14 August 2026

By inviting ServerMate, accessing its dashboard or using its services, you agree to these terms and acknowledge the ServerMate Privacy Policy.

Using ServerMate

You must follow Discord's Terms of Service, applicable laws and these terms while using ServerMate.

You may not use ServerMate for abuse, harassment, spam, exploitation, unauthorised data collection, malicious activity, security attacks, attempts to disrupt the service or other unlawful activity.

Server responsibility

Server owners and administrators are responsible for how they configure ServerMate, which permissions they grant and how stored information is accessed or used by their staff.

Administrators are responsible for reviewing enabled ticket, moderation, AutoMod, logging, automation, verification, reaction-role, welcome and other features before using them in a live community.

Automated moderation and actions

ServerMate may perform automated actions based on administrator configuration, including warnings, timeouts, message deletion, ticket actions, alerts and other workflows.

Automated detection systems are not guaranteed to be perfectly accurate and may produce false positives, missed detections or unexpected outcomes.

Server administrators remain responsible for reviewing their rules, thresholds, ignored channels or roles and moderation configuration.

Discord permissions and third-party services

ServerMate depends on Discord APIs, Discord permissions and third-party infrastructure. Features may fail or behave differently if required permissions are missing, Discord is unavailable or an external service experiences an outage.

ServerMate cannot guarantee that every automated action, transcript, message, upload or notification will always be delivered successfully.

Custom bots and credentials

Servers using custom bot functionality must provide a valid bot token and maintain control of the related Discord application.

You must not submit credentials you do not own or have permission to use.

You are responsible for rotating or resetting credentials if you believe they have been exposed or compromised.

Uploaded content

You must only upload images, files or other content that you own or have permission to use.

You must not use ServerMate to upload unlawful, infringing, malicious or abusive content.

ServerMate may remove uploaded content where necessary to protect the service, comply with law or respond to abuse.

Data and backups

ServerMate may store configuration, tickets, transcripts, moderation records, AutoMod events, analytics, uploaded assets and other information required by enabled features.

ServerMate should not be treated as the sole permanent archive or backup for important records, transcripts, evidence or configuration.

Users are responsible for maintaining independent copies of information they consider important.

Availability and changes

ServerMate is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis.

Features may be added, changed, delayed, restricted, replaced or removed as ServerMate develops.

Maintenance, Discord outages, hosting failures, database issues, third-party service interruptions and unexpected software errors may affect availability.

Suspension and termination

Access may be suspended or terminated where a user or server abuses the service, creates a security risk, violates these terms, attempts to bypass restrictions or harms ServerMate, Discord users or other communities.

ServerMate may also restrict particular features where required for security, platform compliance or service stability.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ServerMate and its operators are not responsible for indirect, incidental, consequential or special losses arising from use of or inability to use the service.

This includes losses resulting from service interruptions, failed automations, moderation decisions, missing messages, deleted data, unavailable transcripts or third-party platform failures.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Privacy

Use of ServerMate is also subject to the ServerMate Privacy Policy, which explains how information may be collected, processed, stored and shared when using the service.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as ServerMate develops. Continued use after an updated version is published means you accept the revised terms.
